No, the FAUXGLAS panel can be smaller than the door panel. The FAUXGLAS panel should be centered within the raised, flat door panel. Please refer to the measurements shown for each panel type within the Shop.

Will the magnet on the back of FAUXGLAS stick to my door?

Your garage door must be steel for the magnet to stick. Unfortunately, magnets do not work with aluminum or fiberglass. Be sure to test your garage door with a magnet prior to ordering.

How do I clean FAUXGLAS panels?

Mild dish soap and water works best. Dry with a soft cloth or microfiber. To maintain the high-gloss finish, avoid products that contain ammonia (glass cleaners such as Windex), alcohol, acetone, or any gritty cleanser or polish.

How do I accurately measure my door panel to choose the best FAUXGLAS option?

FAUXGLAS is installed on the flat, inner panels on the top row of the garage door. Be sure to measure the height and width of this flat area and do not include any of the recessed edges. Please refer to the example in the illustration.
